Dr. Sir Warrior and Oriental Brothers International’s Obi Nwanne. Founded in the 1970s by gifted Imo brothers Godwin “Kabaka” Opara, Ezebuiro “Warrior” Obinna, Ferdinand “Dansatch” Emeka Opara, Hybrilious “Aquila” Alaraibe, Prince Ichita, and Ejiogu—who passed away soon after the band was formed—the Oriental Brothers International Band is a performing highlife musical group from Owerri, Nigeria.

It is important to remember that the Oriental Brothers were extremely influential in the Igbo people’s lives following the Biafran Civil War. During and after the Civil War, the Oriental Brothers provided a glimmer of optimism in an otherwise hopeless time.
