South African DJ jockey and producer Black Coffee came under fire on the internet for failing to help a woman with cystic fibrosis until after she passed away.

Nompilo Dlamini battled cystic fibrosis and would periodically ask for money to help her manage the disease. It’s unknown if he ever sought the Grammy-winning artist’s assistance.

However, contentious X user Joy Zelda, who is notorious for always having an opinion on everything and pursuing controversy whenever possible, criticized Black Coffee in a tweet after learning of her passing. He is a billionaire, she said, and his music is the only thing he has contributed to South African music.

She claimed that despite his frequent appearances in pricey designers, he did not assist the late Nompilo. Here is a link to her tweet.

Many of the well-known DJ’s followers were incensed by her post, and they quickly came to his defense and pointed out how some people appear to think they have a right to other people’s money.

The main contention is that Black Coffee owns his money and that no one has the authority to restrict how he may use it. Joy Zelda’s post does not imply that she is a good person, as one of his fans even pointed out, even though she would have helped if she could have.
