When rugby player Manie Libbok returned to the Stormers, the supporters gave him a standing ovation.
We adore witnessing it. Indeed, we do. Following their team’s victory and return from the Rugby World Cup, all of the Springboks players have been doing well for themselves. The Stormers welcomed Manie Libbok back with wide arms when he recently made his comeback.
The renowned flyhalf made his comeback to the field for the Stormers, helping them to a 31-7 victory over Zebre in their URC match over the weekend. It was thrilling to witness the Stormers’ supporters honor the number 10 player with a standing ovation and express their pride in him.
He talked about how the greeting had made him feel after the game. “It was really exciting and special as always to be back in the number 10 jersey, especially with the energetic Stellenbosch crowd supporting us,” he remarked.
He also stated, “The support from the Faithful is something special, and I’m really excited to be back and contribute to the team’s success.”
Taking to his Facebook page, Libbok shared more words for the fans, calling the welcome he received “special” and saying they never disappoint.
“This is just special. The Faithful never disappoint,” he wrote.
