Due to Zahara’s unexpected passing, DJ Sbu and TK Nciza, two of her former record label executives, are embroiled in fresh controversy. Before she passed away, the singer and the duo allegedly disagreed about royalties. This led to periodic arguments between them.

But TS Records maintained that she received all of her rights and that the record label owed her nothing, despite her assertions to the contrary. The same was independently confirmed by DJ Sbu. The situation became so terrible that DJ Sbu had to reveal her drinking and urge her to get treatment.
