The Forbes family is organizing a private art exhibition to honor the late AKA’s family.

In honor of the late rapper’s birthday, the Kiernan Forbes Foundation has revealed that it will be working with the world’s top merchandising brand, Bravado.

The legendary South African hip-hop artist fell away on February 10 of last year while dining out with pals in a Durban restaurant to celebrate his birthday. He was fatally shot just outside the eatery. Later this month, he would have celebrated his 36th birthday.

The rapper’s foundation revealed on his Instagram feed that an art display honoring his birthday will take place at Mall of Africa in Midrand on January 26 and 28. Special goods and artwork will be on display in honor of his illustrious heritage.

“The collaboration also brings an unparalleled experience for AKA’s fans to enjoy and gives emerging South African artists a platform to showcase their talent,” the statement said.

According to reports, the exhibition has contributions by GALXBOY, David Tshabalala, Mondli “The Artivist” Kunene, Thokozani, and SK Original. A commemorative GALXBOY original t-shirt is one of the available options.

“As with their other products, this t-shirt will be available for buying and shipping on the online store, including international shipping.”
